    Welcome to my English study page. My name is Sean McGonagle, and I am a junior high school English teacher on Miyako Island in Okinawa prefecture, Japan. I have made this page for anyone who wants to study and practice English. When I have time I will continue to add more to this web page.


Past Tense Review (過去形の復習) :
    ここでは、動詞の過去形を33題出題する。大半の動詞は不規則動詞。
    Here you will be tested on 33 verbs and their past tense forms. Most of these are irregular verbs.

Columbus English Course (中学校の教科書の勉強) :
    These quizzes are based on the vocabulary from the Columbus English Course junior high school textbook.

The Funhouse (迷路のゲーム) :
    Here is a little game I put together for my students. The Funhouse is a dungeon of 25 rooms, six of which contain traps (which will send you back to the start), and one which hides a dragon. Find the dragon, answer his question and you win. You may want to use some scratch paper to map out the rooms.

Flag Quiz (国旗の小試験) :
    How are your geography skills? This quiz will test your knowledge of various national flags. I will will adding more of this kind of quiz as I get the time.

    Here are a number of different quizzes to test your grammer skills.

Reading Quizzes (読解力の小試験) :
    These are quizzes to test your reading comprehension. They involve a short passage followed by several questions. These quizzes were taken from past Japanese high school entrance exams.
